Function Keys

Function Keys are a great way to quickly open new pages in Orion.  These shortcuts may be used in any Telemet Orion display to easily view market data:

Ø  Press the F5 Function Key to launch a Snap Quote

Ø  Press the F12 Function Key to launch a NASDAQ Level II

Ø  Press the F10 Function Key to launch a Time & Sale window

SEC Filings on Edgar

Users have access to SEC 10K and 10Q filings and other Edgar data within Orion with Double Click Actions.

Within any page, choose the column of data you would like to assign a double click action to view Edgar.  For example, if you would like to bring up an Edgar filing for a particular issue by double clicking on the Net % change value, you would choose the Net % column.

1)  Double click on the Column Header Name.  The Select Columns window appears.

2)  Choose Double Click Action under the Attributes section.

3)  Choose Edgar File under the Double Click Action drop-down menu.

4)  Finish by selecting OK.

 

 

Once the setting is saved, you may double click on any Net % change value on that page to open Edgar.

 

 

Find the symbol for a company, mutual fund, index, etc.

Telemet Orion Ticker Lookup tool can be used to find the symbol for stocks, mutual funds, economic indexes, etc.  Tools >Ticker lookup.   OR use the toolbar and select the binoculars with a “?” mark symbol.

If you are unsure of the exact name, enter a “*” or “%” sign and then one word within the name to perform a wildcard returning all results with that word in the name.

For example, let’s say you want to know the ticker for the Unemployment Rate Index.  Typing “unemployment” in the search bar will return no results.

However, using the “*” or “%” sign in front of the word “unemployment” will deliver more results, including what you were looking for: US Unemployment Rate – EMPLOY

Foreign Data Indicators in Upper Chart Design

Telemet Orion offers International Economic Indicators! Some of the regions covered include:

·         Asia

·         Central Europe

·         Developed Asia

·         Emerging Nations

·         EU

·         Latin American & the Caribbean

·         Middle East & North Africa

·         Sub-Saharan Africa

Foreign Economic Indicators may be added to Telemet Orion Charts through the Upper Chart Design menu within Options.  Simply browse and select the data you want to chart from the expandable sections in the upper left-hand corner of the Upper Chart Design window. 

 

 

New Printing Options for Multi-Style Attribution Reports

Users may now select multiple attribution screens and reports for printing. Selection can also be saved for future usage.  Preferences are set up within Print Setup.
