Several reports are available within Multi-Style Attribution.  They can be viewed by using the drop-down menu available after a report is run.  Options include: Attribution Summary, Performance Summary, Contribution Summary, Cumulative Performance, Subperiod Attribution, Attribution Analysis, Subperiod Weights, Allocation Scatterplot, Contribution Details, and Performance Characteristics.

Reports and graphs can be exported to Excel or copied to Word.  Batch printing is also available.

Performance Summary includes Best and Worst Performers as well as Top and Bottom Contributors:

Multi-Style Attribution

Telemet Orion provides free Attribution Analysis! True time-weighted (TWR) and money-weighted (MWR) performance and attribution is available with easy-to-install interface links to all major portfolio accounting systems bringing your transaction details into Telemet Orion. You get portfolio and group performance attribution reports by sector, industry, and scatter diagrams.

1. Display >  Portfolio Analytics > Multi-Style Attribution

2. Choose the portfolio you wish to run analysis on by clicking on the purple Portfolio section on the left-side of the MS Attribution window

3. Click Period.  You may use a pre-defined period such as quarter-to-date or enter a custom time range.

4. Select Benchmark

5. Choose Analytics

6. Click on Run

Trading Impact

Telemet Orion can display trading impact on any portfolio.  Choose Display then Portfolio Analytics and Impact.

Key Statistics

Quickly open a window showing key statistical analysis with one click on the KS button in your toolbar.

The data points can then be drilled down further by clicking on the blue hyperlinks, or navigating between the Earnings, Revenues, Key Ratios, and Financials tabs.

Print or Export Historical Data

Instantly display historical price information from a Snap Quote by clicking on the Data button on the toolbar.

From the Data window, you may:

• Modify the date range
• View the data in Daily, Weekly, or Monthly segments
• Print or Export the data

 

Back Up Your Telemet Orion Settings and Customizations

Back up your Telemet Orion settings or transfer them to another computer with our Replication utility:

Tools > Replicate > with Registration to make a copy of your settings, then Tools > Import > Replication Files to import saved settings.

You can also set a schedule to perform automatic backups.  Choose Tools > Replicate > Schedule.

Upgrade to the Newest Release!

Quickly upgrade to the latest version of Telemet Orion through the Help menu.  Choose Help then select Download Latest Release.

Note: Before upgrading, make sure you have administrative permissions on your computer.  The Telemet Orion upgrade backs up all your old settings so no need to fear a loss of customization!

SEC Filings on Edgar

Users have access to SEC 10K and 10Q filings and other Edgar data within Telemet Orion with Double Click Actions.

Within any page, choose the column of data you would like to assign a double click action to view Edgar.  For example, if you would like to bring up an Edgar filing for a particular issue by double clicking on the Net % change value, you would choose the Net % column.

1)  Double click on the Column Header Name.  The Select Columns window appears.

2)  Choose Double Click Action under the Attributes section.

3)  Choose Edgar File under the Double Click Action drop-down menu.

4)  Finish by selecting OK.

Once the setting is saved, you may double click on any Net % change value on that page to open Edgar.

Limit Alerts

Easily set up price alerts from Telemet Orion’s Limits window

1) Go to Tools > Limits

2) Select Criteria to create limit alert

• You can enter tickers individually, choosing Add or hitting Enter or your keyboard
• You can choose a Ticker List
• After choosing your criteria, Click OK
• Any limit alerts triggered will be logged on the Limits screen.  You must leave your Limits window open to receive alerts.

Charts Options

You may quickly view Chart Options by right clicking inside any Telemet Orion chart window.  This right click functionality works in various other pages as well.

Time and Sale

Within the Snap Quote window, you may double-click on the ‘T’ to quickly view that company’s Time and Sales data. 

News

Within the Snap Quote window, you may double-click on the ‘N’ to retrieve that company’s news.  Note: Once you have read the most recent news story, the uppercase ‘N’ changes to a lowercase ‘n’ within the Snap Quote window.  It will remain lowercase until a new news story is available in your news feed or you log out and back into your Telemet Orion session.

Detailed Earnings Estimates

If you are a subscriber to earnings estimates, you can promptly view detailed earnings estimates by double-clicking within the earnings section of a Snap Quote window.

Dividend History

It is easy to quickly view Dividend History from a Snap Quote window.  Holding your mouse over the middle area/div yield section of Snap Quote, you’ll notice your cursor turns to a hand.  Double-click to retrieve the dividend history, sales, splits, etc.

From that same dividend history screen, you can also navigate a company’s financial summary, sales, splits and corporate actions.

Peer Groups

From a Snap quote window, point your cursor to the SIC code and double click.  This brings up the Lookup Ticker window with the SIC Code entered.   Make sure Search by SIC is selected and choose Lookup.  The search retrieves all the peer groups and competitors of that company.  Taking that a step further, you may then Save Results as a List for comparisons and evaluations.

Help Menu

The Help menu can be quickly launched from any Telemet Orion display by using the F1 Function Key.  Help allows you to browse information by Index, Menu, or using the Search dialogue. 

Making Changes to Multi-Style Attribution Report

To change your choices when looking at the results of a Multi Style Attribution report, there is no need to start with a new screen.  Simply click on the two little grey arrows in the upper left corner of the screen (located underneath the Display menu choice). This will reopen the report's query options on the left-hand side of the report results so you may change the selected portfolio, date range, benchmark, and/or other analytics.  Once all edits are made, select Run to rerun the report.

• The F3 Function Key can be used to remove menu listings from the title bar, making the Telemet Orion window slightly smaller or larger.
