Change Column Header Names on a Page

1.      To open the Set Attributes menu, choose Options>Columns> and click the Set Attributes button on the dialog window
-or-
1.      Double click on any column heading on the Custom Price Page
2.      Select the column that you want to revise the Heading.
3.      Click on the Heading option from the Attributes section of the Select Columns screen.  You will see a Heading section appear on the right side of the Select Columns screen.
4.      Edit the Heading as desired, then click OK.  The new Heading will now appear on the Custom Price Page.

Adding Column Totals to a Page

Telemet Orion users may total the data fields in a Custom Price Page to show a column’s maximum, sum, average or total value.



1.      To open the Set Attributes menu, choose Options>Columns> and click the Set Attributes button on the dialog window

-or-

1.      Double click on any column heading on the Custom Price Page

2.      Select the column you want to add a total to in the column list box.

3.      Click on the Total Function option from the Attributes section of the Select Columns screen.  You will see a Total Function section appear on the right side of the Select Columns screen.

4.      Click on the drop down arrow located to the right of the entry at the top of the Total Function section. You see a list of options to choose from: Text (allows you to associate a line of text at the bottom of a column of data), Sum, Minimum, Maximum, and Average. Choose the option you want.

·         The Alignment field allows you to select where the total function is aligned in the data column of the Custom Price Page. Right, Left, and Center position the data in the location of the option that you select. Choosing Decimal centers the total on the decimal place in the data field.

·         The Display When field displays the data according to the series of options that you choose. Selecting Positive, Negative, or Zero shows data when there has been positive, negative, or zero change in the data from yesterday’s close.



Note: You can-not total columns in a Custom Price page if you have selected Repeat Column Groups Across Display as an option from the Style settings.

View Scrolling Tape for Custom Ticker List

Using the View Tape functionality under the Display menu, Telemet Orion users can view trade notifications for their specific ticker list and block size requirements.  Scrolling tape is available only for Stocks.    


Set the Block Size

To filter trade size select Options > Block Size. Enter in the Block Size field the trade size to display. For example enter 1000 to display only trades of 1000 shares or more. Click Ok to close the dialog.


Editing Ticker List for Tape

Select Options from the menu bar then Edit Ticker List.  See an edit box with all the tickers you have created… insert or delete tickers, just as you do for a custom page, and then press OK. Your scrolling tape will now include the new ticker. It will not be added to your permanent list.

Read Barron’s before it gets delivered!

With the increased delivery time of the USPS, you may be able to read Barron’s online through Telemet Orion before it is delivered to your home or office!

In Telemet Orion, go to News>Open>Barrons This Week to run the news query.  You may also already have it as part of the Barrons, WSJ workspace under NewsSpace in the Telemet Manager.



Note: Clients must be subscribed to the Dow Jones Broad Tape news service in order to access Barrons through Telemet.  Contact Client Support at support@taquote.com for a free trial!

Back Up Your Telemet Orion Settings and Customizations

Back up your Telemet Orion settings or transfer them to another computer with our Replication utility:

Tools > Replicate > with Registration to make a copy of your settings, then Tools > Import > Replication Files to import saved settings. 

You can also set a schedule to perform automatic backups.  Choose Tools > Replicate > Schedule.

            Note:  Telemet Orion must be running for a scheduled Replication to run.
